11th June 23' Players Championship - Group 1 - Day 2

The Players Championship returns for its second edition, starting 10th & 11th June exclusively on UltimatePool.TV. Defending Champion Ronan McCarthy will return to defend his title! 60 Players enter the draw, looking to take down the title. The Players Championship runs for 10 weekends of Group Stages, finishing with a Finals Weekend. 

Players Championship 2023

The 2023 Ultimate Pool Pro Series will feature ten events at five double-header long weekends throughout the year. All 96 professional players are eligible to enter these events.

2023 Pro Series events are straight knockout. The top 28 ranked players – following the end of the 2022 season – will all be seeded and go straight into the round of 64. They will be joined by another four seeded players on an event-by-event basis. The remaining players will contest the opening ‘preliminary’ round.

All matches are a race to eight frames, although all main arena matches will be played with a match-clock.

The Golden Break and Golden Duck rules are not in operation during this year’s Series.

The draws and schedules for each Series weekend will be released on the Live Scoring page around a fortnight before the event begins.

## Dates 

All Pro Series events in 2023 will take place at the Grand Hotel in Blackpool 

There are five weekend stops, with two Pro Series events taking place at each one. Due to the rise in player numbers, events now run from Thursdays to Sundays.  The dates are:
- **Events 1 & 2 | January 19-22** 
- **Events 3 & 4 | March 23-26** 
- **Events 5 & 6 | June 15-18** 
- **Events 7 & 8 | September 14-17** 
- **Events 9 & 10 | November 16-19**

## Prize Money 

The 2023 Ultimate Pool Professional Series has a total prize fund of £300,000. The prize money breakdown for each event is as follows: 
- **Winner: £10,000** 
- **Runner-Up: £4,000** 
- **Semi-Finalist: £2,000** 
- **Quarter-Finalist: £1,000** 
- **Last 16: £500** 
- **Last 32: £250**

## Terms and Conditions For Players

As well as the [Ultimate Pool Group's Standard Terms and Conditions](https://www.ultimatepoolgroup.com/tournaments/upg-standard-terms-and-conditions) that all entrants must abide by, there are additional rules:

It is mandatory for all players competing on the 2023 Ultimate Pool Professional Series to stay at least three nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) at the Grand Hotel in Blackpool. 

You must book and pay for your accommodation in full at least three weeks prior to a Series weekend. Failure to do so will mean you will not be included in the draw; you could be replaced in the event(s) and you won't be eligible for any refund of entry fees.

3rd June 2023 - Last Man Standing Day 1

The Last Man standing is a brand new event for 2023. The tournament sees 26 players call each other out match by match. Two players are drawn at random to begin the tournament, and the winner stays on. The event plays down to a winner, and the last man standing will be crowned the Champions. Qualifier takes place Friday 2nd June, with the main tournament taking place on 3rd & 4th June, exclusively live on UltimatePool.TV.

12th June 23' Pairs Cup - Week 1

The Ultimate Pool Pairs Cup returns for its 3rd edition! Defending Champions, Gareth Potts & Mark Selby will return to defend their title, with huge pairings joining them! Mick Hill & Karl Boyes join forces, with former champions Karl Sutton & Shaun Chipperfield returning once more. Expect some more snooker names in the mix, with the full draw being released soon! Starts 12th June 2023!
