An exciting and important addition to the Ultimate Pool circuit in 2022 will be the Women’s Series which aims to raise the profile and appeal of the women’s game with record-breaking prize funds and extensive coverage. The Series also provides a qualification pathway to Ultimate Pool’s professional ranks.
Number of Players: The 2022 Ultimate Pool Women's Series has an 84-player capacity (per event).
Dates/Venues: There are four Women’s Series ‘weekends’ throughout the 2022 season. These are:
- Women’s Series 1 | Friday 4th - Sunday 6th March, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool
- Women’s Series 2 | Friday 15th - Monday 18th April, 2022: The Hilton Metropole, Birmingham
- Women’s Series 3 | Friday 24th - Sunday 26th June, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool
- Women’s Series Grand Finals | Friday 9th - Sunday 11th December, 2022: The Grand Hotel, Blackpool
Format: The 84 players are initially split into 21 round robin groups of 4. All matches are races to 5 frames. These matches take place across Fridays and Saturdays.
The top two from each group will qualify for the event knockouts, the bottom two will go into the plate knockouts. All these matches take place on Sundays.
Women's Series Knockouts
- The winners of each group will advance straight through to the last 32. One of the runners-up will be drawn at random and will join them.
- The remaining 20 group runners-up will contest a preliminary round, with the ten winners making up the last 32.
- All matches in all rounds are races to 5 frames.
Women's Series Plate Knockouts
- For the plate events, the third-placed players in each group will advance straight through to the last 32. One of the bottom placed players in the group will be drawn at random and will join them.
- The remaining 20 bottom placed players in the group will contest a preliminary round, with the ten winners making up the last 32.
- All matches in all rounds are races to 4 frames.
Grand Finals Weekend
- The fourth and final ‘weekend’ of the season will be the Women’s Series Grand Finals. This will have the same format as the above, but features added prize funds.
Prize Money: The 2022 Women’s Series is set to have a minimum prize fund of over £32,000. The prize money breakdown is as follows:
Women’s Series Events 1, 2 & 3
- Winner: £1,200
- Runner-Up: £600
- Semi-Finalists: £300 (each)
- Quarter-Finalists: £150 (each)
- Last 16 Losers: £100 (each)
- Last 32 Losers: £50 (each)
- Prelim Losers: £25 (each)
Women’s Series Grand Finals
- Winner: £1,600
- Runner-Up: £800
- Semi-Finalists: £400 (each)
- Quarter-Finalists: £200 (each)
- Last 16 Losers: £150 (each)
- Last 32 Losers: £100 (each)
- Prelim Losers: £50 (each)
Women’s Series Plate Events 1, 2 & 3
- Winner: £600
- Runner-Up: £300
- Semi-Finalists: £150 (each)
- Quarter-Finalists: £75 (each)
- Last 16 Losers: £50 (each)
- Last 32 Losers: £25 (each)
Women’s Series Grand Finals Plate
- Winner: £800
- Runner-Up: £400
- Semi-Finalists: £200 (each)
- Quarter-Finalists: £150 (each)
- Last 16 Losers: £100 (each)
- Last 32 Losers: £50 (each)
Coverage: Selected matches will be shown live on FreeSports TV in the UK and via livestream on ultimatepool.tv for those everywhere else.
Seeding/Rankings: All Women’s Series events (including the plate events) are ranked.
The initial draw for Women’s Series Event 1 will be open, but the remaining events of the season will be seeded. The top 21 ranked players (at that time) prior to each event from Women's Series Event 2 onwards will be seeded and separated into the 21 groups.
At the end of the 2022 Women’s Series season, the top ranked player (other than Emma Cunningham who is already a professional) will automatically qualify for the 2023 Ultimate Pool professional ranks. Women professionals can play on both the professional and women’s circuits.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PLAYERS
It is mandatory for all players competing on the 2022 Ultimate Pool Women's Series to stay at least two nights (Friday & Saturday) at the hotel venue that the events are being played in.
You must book and pay for your accommodation in full at least three weeks prior to a Series weekend. Failure to do so will mean you will not be included in the draw, you could be replaced in the event(s) and you won't be eligible for any refund of entry fees.

The draw and a comprehensive match schedule will be published on ultimatepool.tv under the 'Live Scoring' tab at least two weeks prior to an event starting.
All matches will have a start time - please register with the 'Top Table' at least 15 minutes beforehand.
Match races are subject to change throughout the events.
Dress Code: All players will receive an official tour shirt, which must be worn during your matches, along with trousers and shoes.
Deposits & Payments: Your entry is only accepted when your deposit is paid (£100). All Series entry fees for the season must be paid in FULL before the first event. Deposits and all entry fees are non-refundable. The organisers reserve the right to remove and replace any entrant who fails to make the payment deadline. All players must pay all of the entry fees, even if they do not attend all of the events. The organisers reserve the right to decline any unsuitable new applicants.
By paying your deposit/entry fee it is deemed that you have read and agree to abide by the rules set out by the organisers of the Ultimate Pool Women's Series, and accept they are subject to change and that decisions made by the Tournament Director(s) are final.
The Ultimate Pool Group's full Standard Conditions of Competition Entry are soon to be released. Before these are published, anything that is not covered will be at the discretion of the Ultimate Pool Group.
The 2022 Ultimate Pool Women’s Series is currently full. Information about the 2023 Women’s Series will be released in due course.
