The inaugural Professional Cup in 2021 was the opening event of the 2022 Ultimate Pool professional season.
Held between December 26-30, the last 32 onwards was shown live on BT Sport. The tournament was played at the Players Pool & Snooker Lounge in Newcastle-under-Lyme. A professional ranking event, the winner claimed £10,000.
Tournament Format
Only open to the 48 professional players, the top 16 seeds automatically went into the televised last 32. A preliminary round was played on December 26.
A straight knockout event, the opening three rounds were traditional matchplay races. From the quarter-finals onwards, the format went to two-set matches.

There were eight live televised sessions on BT Sport. Non-UK viewers could watch live on ultimatepool.tv.
