Champions League Part Three - Coming January!

The Ultimate Pool Champions League is back for a third edition starting on Monday, January 9 2023.

The event was the first that Ultimate Pool ever held at the end of 2020/start of 2021. That inaugural edition featured 32 players and was won by Chris Melling after he defeated Michael Hill in the final.

In 2022, the tournament expanded to 64 players across 21 weeks and became a ranking event for the professional players. Stevie Dempsey emerged from the gauntlet, claiming the title following a final victory over Aaron Davies.

The 2023 version will again see a field of 64 take part in the main stages on Monday nights live on ViaPlay Sports UK and Ultimate Pool platforms. However, with the professional ranks to be 96 in the new season, all those involved will be from the top tier.

As a consequence, a pre-TV qualifying round will be held this Sunday to whittle numbers down to the 64. The top 32 seeded players are already through to the televised stages.

Full format details can be found here.

The qualifying draw will soon be on Ultimate Pool’s live scoring page here.
